in choice of components, or in the organization of the design
elements, within the principles of design. The exhibitor has creative
freedom and is not bound by rules, styles and codes. (Therefore, changing the shape or form of live plant material by cutting, bending,
bunching, rolling or wiring is permitted.)  Distinction is marked superiority in all respects.  Expression is personalized organization of design elements to create
or interpret a mood or idea.

In the case of two members entering a show together, the points will be split. Each exhibitor will get 1 point for entering and in the case of a dual niche entry, 2 points each for entering a niche.

GCA Zone V Award Winners Ginnie Tietjens and Kelly Asplundh
On October 14, 2015, Ginnie Tietjens and Kelly Asplundh were presented with two distinguished awards at GCA's Zone V Mini-Meeting, held in Wallingford, PA. Ginnie received the Zone V Director's Award, honoring her "unselfish support to Zone V clubs and club members" and Kelly received the Zone V Floral Design Achievement Award, highlighting her "outstanding achievements in floral design beyond the activities of her own club". Ginnie and Kelly are joined by HVGC Members who surprised them to share this proud moment. Congratulations on your well-deserved recognition.

Awarded to the best of theblues for that day based upon point scoring listed below. Must score 95 or above. If a novice arranger should tie with an experienced arranger, duplicate awards will be given. The Flower Show Schedule in the yearbook will designate which classes are elibible for this award.
